It covers how a move like yours gets assessed before anyone invites you to interview and which routes in ask the least of the person making the decision.

What We Cover

• Choosing your route in. This covers internal moves, bridge roles and contracting, and the buyers who say yes to people without the obvious background more often than you'd expect. If you're moving out of permanent work, it includes how contract hiring, day rates and IR35 actually work.

• How your move looks from the hiring side. You'll see what gets agreed before a role is ever advertised, and why shortlisting is where most career changes stall.

• Rebuilding your evidence. How to rewrite your experience so a hiring manager in your new field recognises it, and why "transferable skills" doesn't do that job.

• Your story. How to answer "why the move?" so it reads as a direction of travel, including after a redundancy or when you're stepping down a level to step across.

• Guest Speaker. Time with someone who has changed direction in their career, covering what they tried first and what they changed when it didn't work. They stay on for the Q&A.

What you leave with

You'll complete a worksheet as the session runs which captures the move you're making, the route you'll test first, the concern a hiring team will have and a first draft of how you'll explain the move.
